About Curalo

A short list of tools for independent consultants, scored in the open

Curalo is a curated directory of tools and services for independent consultants. Every tool is scored on the same 100-point rubric, so you can see why it's recommended and when it isn't the right fit.

146+ tools across 7 workflow categories

How tools are reviewed

  1. Start from real consulting work

Tools are evaluated against real consulting tasks and delivery constraints, not feature lists.

  2. Score with one rubric

The same criteria apply to every tool: workflow fit, setup speed, pricing, integrations, UX, and trust.

  3. Check that stacks fit together

Tools are checked for whether they work together across an end-to-end workflow.

  4. Write down the trade-offs

Each recommendation comes with caveats and when-not-to-use guidance.

What Curalo doesn't do

  • Scores are editorial and are never for sale. Featured placement is labeled and never changes a score.
  • No exhaustive lists of every tool that exists.
  • No generic reviews copied from press releases.

Some outbound links are affiliate links, which help keep Curalo running. They don't affect scores or placement.

Who builds Curalo

Curalo is built by Rabia, after years in consulting and full-stack engineering spent watching talented operators lose hours choosing tools instead of doing the work.

Recommendations come from hands-on testing, not press releases. Salem the cat supervises every build.

An open C, with one dot in the gap

The mark is a single open letter C, for Curalo and for curation. The opening is deliberate: we don't box you into a fixed list of tools. We leave room for your practice, your clients, and your budget.
